Paris photo and a very cold summer

My first endeavor into photography is completed with "Paris-photo"- my zine documenting a few weeks in Paris. It'll be on sale soon so please email me if you're interested.

I'm hoping to add a photography section to my website and update the old work...soon.
Also- been practicing landscape photography a bit more after an amazing few months in Alaska.

I've been working on photo, a somewhat recent goal being to become a good photographer. I've been taking many many pictures of the city I love so much. Here are three photos recently shot for my next and newest project.

I was very excited to be a part of the art zine show "THANKS FOR SHARING!" at the D21 Kunstraum in Leipzig, Germany. My two zines, Snake Histories 1 and They named her Mariah Carey were a part of the exhibition. To see images from opening and other related events, click here.
In other good news, I've also starting working on a new photozine and another project about Paris.

My zine about Paris (and why I love it) is finally completed and I'm very happy. I'm very happy because I've been thinking about making this for a long time and I tried lots of new things on it. I've made an edition of 30 (35 pages each) and will soon be selling them in a shop. Stay tuned for more details about that. If you would like to purchase one, please email me- they are $10 each. The holidays have been good for zine-progress. The final product is getting closer and closer. Until then, a few more sketches.

Also worked on a poster for a NYC non-profit- it was eventually not used but I do like it and am going to see what I can do with it. Here's the rough.

Bergdorf's windows

Some photos I took with my pal, Mathilde Delahaye of the beautiful Bergdorf Goodman windows. Their attention to detail never ceases to amaze me.

They also used some "Fantastic Mr.Fox" sets. I loved the book, loved the movie and loved the sets.

Instead of holiday cards, I make a holiday mini-zine (but of course...) This year's zine...Happy.

I also may or may not be be painting a sculpture that will be auctioned of to raise money for homeless animals. Here are two ideas I'm working with.

1) Despite making very slow progress on the design+illustrations, I do have a title for my latest zine . Fingers crossed it will be printed before the end of the year...
2) I recently finished working on the latest issue of Indy Kids- a rad political newspaper for kids. Download the latest issue or check where you can pick up a free copy on the website.
3) "Root for Trees is a New York City based nonprofit organization that uses art and creative campaigns to raise environmental consciousness." I'm also working on a few projects with Root for Trees.
4) Here's a project I did for Free People a few weeks ago.

6) I've become a new fan of awesome illustrator Marc Boutavant.

I'm very excited about the newest zine project I've started. I've just finished the first draft of the story, and started the first round of sketches. Writing in an attempt to make one of my many many heroes proud.
I've also been playing with staircase patterns for a print project. This still needs some work...
